Clayman Institute for Gender Research: upRising 2026
Gender Research Today
Welcome to upRising 2026, news from Stanford's Clayman Institute for Gender Research. With this issue, we reflect on a full year of teaching and research including feminist scholarship, events, and publications. We turn a special focus on current research projects and our intergenerational research teams.
At the Clayman Institute, academic leaders team with student research assistants to teach them gender research concepts, feminist research methods, data analysis, and academic writing skills. Our projects focus on gender-based violence, #MeToo, and backlash, all with an intersectional perspective. With a storied history and an ongoing commitment to intersectional, interdisciplinary work, the Clayman Institute continues its mission of teaching and research.
Current Projects
- Digital anti-feminism in the Depp v. Heard trial
- NDAs and their effects on sexual harassment survivors
- The offline impact of #MeToo: The letter and message archive of Christine Blasey Ford and other well-known survivors
